➢ NUKKAD NATAKS WERE PERFORMED & CHILDREN WERE
SENSITISED REGARDING SAFE/ UNSAFE TOUCH.
➢ 29 TEJASWINI STAFF WERE FELICITATED FOR THEIR
DEDICATED SERVICES.

North-West District celebrated ‘Tejaswini Week’ on successful completion of one year of ‘Tejaswini- Women Centric Safety & Empowerment Initiative”. On the culmination day of Tejaswini Week on
18.07.2022, Sh. Dependra Pathak, Spl. Commissioner of Police, L&O Div. (Zone-I) graced the occasion in the programme held in ‘Manthan Conference Hall, Ashok Vihar, Delhi. He appreciated efforts of North-
West in bridging the gap between public & police and role of Tejaswinistaff in curbing crime against women. Not only they work in prevention & detection of crime, but also they are making an excellent bondage with public. These Tejaswini Staff made a good rapport in public, whilemeeting with Senior Citizens, sensitizing area women through various awareness programmes, Nukkad Nataks as well as Cyber awareness. They cater to fulfill the expectations of citizens of the area and motivate
them, particularly women to report crime or incidents against them. He further motivated the Tejaswini Staff to continue working with same zeal & enthusiasm in future also. Sh. Vivek Kishore, IPS, Jt. CP/ Northern Range, Ms. Usha Rangnani, IPS, DCP/ Noorth-West, Sh. Krishan Kumar & Sh Mayank Bansal, Addl DCsP/NW, SDPOs & SHOs also attended the programme. During the programme, 29 Tejaswini Staff were felicitated with commendation rolls and rewards for their contribution towards making
this initiative a great success.While celebrating ‘Tejaswini Week’ from 11.07.22 to 18.07.2022, 55 Self-Defense Programmes were organized for girl students & young women, Students of 27 Schools visited Police Stations including Cyber PS, 11 Nukkad Nataks were performed on Crime against Women & Women Safety, a Health Checkup Programme was organized for Tejaswini Staff in coordination with Max Hospital & Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, visited more than 1000 Senior Citizens, 44 Cyber Awareness Programmes were organised for area women, students & young girls, Birthday Celebrations was also organized for Senior Citizens, 22 Awareness Sessions on ‘Safe/Unsafe Touch’ were organized for sensitizing school children and a workshop on ‘Work-Family Life Balance’ was organized for Tejaswinis.
Feedback/suggestions were obtained from area women & senior citizens which was very encouraging as they showered abundant blessings on these Tejaswinis for their dedicated services.
